Red Light Therapy

Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT), also called photobiomodulation or red light therapy, was originally developed and researched by NASA.

What is Light Therapy?
Light Therapy is the application of light energy to the body to obtain therapeutic benefits without the use for harsh chemicals, harmful UV-rays, or invasive methods.

It has a wide range of medical, health and beauty applications, including treatment of skin, muscles, joints, circulation, and pain related issues.

Different wavelengths of light provide different benefits, and the quality and specificity of the light provided in Light Therapy is key to effective treatment.

At 6 Harmonies we offer high quality, medical grade Light Therapy using the Celluma Pro for treatments ranging from fine lines and wrinkles, acne, skin discoloration, stretch marks and hair loss, to acute pain, chronic pain, and physical injury.

What is the Celluma Pro?
The Celluma Pro is a Class IIa FDA approved medical-grade Light Therapy device that safely and effectively helps rejuvenate skin, calm acne, reduce pain and inflammation, and increase circulation. It is FDA cleared to treat a wide range of conditions.

6 Harmonies patients love Celluma Light Therapy and often request it. We offer it as part of our signature sessions combining acupuncture, Tuina, and CrainoSacral Therapy. Celluma Light Therapy is also offered as a stand alone treatment. Celluma Pro for home-use between sessions can also be arranged.

What does Celluma treat?

  • Acute pain & injury

  • Bruising

  • Wounds

  • Chronic pain & arthritic pain

  • Muscle & joint pain

  • Muscle tension

  • Muscle spasm

  • Inflammation

  • Poor circulation

  • Fine lines & wrinkles

  • Acne & blemishes

  • Skin discoloration

What does Celluma do?

  • Increases cellular regeneration

  • Improves cellular function

  • Invigorates micro-circulation

  • Increases collagen & elastin production

  • Reduces fine lines & wrinkles

  • Destroys acne-causing bacteria

  • Improves skin health

  • Enhances sleep quality

  • Elevates mood and energy

  • Specific wavelengths of light energy emitted by the Celluma Pro penetrate through the upper layers of the skin and are absorbed by photoreceptors in our mitochondria. The added light energy encourages an increase in production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) [the fuel for cellular function] which encourages a cascade of metabolic events to help compromised cells regenerate, improve cellular function, and increase micro-circulation.

  • The Celluma Pro is a Class IIa FDA-approved medical device which safely, comfortably, and precisely delivers pure blue light (465nm), pure red light (640nm), and pure near-infrared light (880nm) wavelengths.

The three wavelengths of light penetrate to different levels in the body making it possible to effectively target and treat a wide range of conditions with one device with highly effective results.

  • Celluma Pro Light Therapy is most often used for pain, injury, anti-aging, fine lines and wrinkles, and acne.

Celluma Pro Light Therapy application improves cellular performance and cellular energy production. It increases blood circulation and decreases inflammation. It also increases production of collagen and elastin, and destroys acne-causing bacteria on the skin surface.

    TREATMENT APPROACH:
Most people see results in 1 - 2 sessions. A series of consistent treatments are recommended to see greater progress and longterm results. The number of treatments in the series is dependent on the area of focus and goals for treatment.

Celluma Pro treatments can be scheduled as a stand alone treatment, or in conjunction with 6 Harmonies signature sessions.
